The next generation of Portland’s Early Childhood Educators graduate from are-able Education and Training
These smiling faces are the future of Early Childhood Education in Portland.
On Monday 16th of December eight, Portland are-able Education and Training students graduated with a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
All the graduating students are already employed within the sector and receiving positive feedback from their respective employers.
Inspired by their studies and career prospects, students Tara Smith & Jhuna Hann plan to continue their studies and undertake a Bachelor of Education next year.
Are-able Education and Training (RTO 21701) offers both Certificate III and Diploma of Early Childhood Education in Portland. With both courses there are two pathways to study; the first includes a combination of classroom and placement-based learning whilst the second option is for those already working in the industry, called industry-based that doesn’t involve class attendance. Are-able Education and Training understands that we all live busy and complex lives, it is this support and understanding that helps people succeed and is reflected in a successful graduate employment rate of over 90%.
“As their trainer and assessor, this is a bitter-sweet moment for me” said Are-able Trainer & Assessor Raelyne Barnes. “I am so incredibly proud of each of the students and how hard they’ve worked to achieve their Diploma’s. It’s been a joy to watch them grow in confidence and skills, we’re lucky to have such dedicated Early Childhood educators within our district. I will miss catching up with them and hearing how they navigate the challenges of the job but look forward to watching their careers grow from here.”
Are-able would like to congratulate this graduating class of 2019.
