IDEAL Placements Set to Become a Proud Member of the are-able Group to Strengthen Community Support

A new chapter is about to begin, as IDEAL Placements is set to become a proud member of the are-able Group, a move designed to strengthen local services and expand community impact across regional Queensland.

The announcement was made on Saturday 14 June 2025, during IDEAL Placements’ 30th Birthday Gala Dinner in Mackay. Speaking at the event, are-able Board Chair Annabel Cussen shared the news with staff, partners, and community members gathered to celebrate IDEAL Placements’ legacy.

After nearly three decades of service to the Mackay and Whitsundays region, IDEAL Placements is preparing to join a broader, values-aligned network while continuing to deliver the same trusted local services. The upcoming change is part of a thoughtful and respectful process, designed to retain local leadership and honour IDEAL Placements’ strong connection to community.

“IDEAL Placements has made an incredible impact over the past 30 years,” said Annabel Cussen. “This transition is about continuing that legacy, while opening the door to new opportunities for innovation, investment, and shared success. Together, we are stronger, and together, we’re unstoppable.”

Once complete, are-able will provide operational leadership and long-term support, while IDEAL Placements’ services, staff, and community presence will remain unchanged in the immediate term. What’s new will be access to are-able’s extensive systems, tools, and experience, enabling both organisations to do more, together.
