Building Skills and Confidence Towards a Traineeship
Zack Jacobson began his journey with are-able Mildura in March 2024, joining our Finding and Keeping a job program. Since then, Zack has made remarkable progress, obtaining his learners permit and maintaining employment at Woolworths for over 12 months. We have been so pleased to see his dedication and hard work.
Recently, Zack took another significant step forward, commencing a full-time traineeship at M1 Tyres City Heart in Mildura. This opportunity came about through a collaboration with SMGT, who matched Zack with M1 Tyres. Andy and the team at M1 Tyres have been incredibly supportive and welcoming, creating an environment where Zack can thrive. He is also actively participating in Sunassist Mildura’s L2P program, making excellent progress towards his P plates.
It has been truly rewarding for us to witness Zack’s confidence grow in leaps and bounds. His NDIS mentor noted how inspiring it is to see all his hard work pay off. This success story highlights how together, we create opportunity, supporting people to build skills, confidence, and pathways to meaningful work. We are proud to work alongside employers like M1 Tyres who are committed to building inclusive workplaces.
We look forward to celebrating Zack’s continued success.
