Brianna’s Journey: Building Confidence and a Career in Administration

Brianna embarked on a journey to find meaningful work in administration, navigating significant personal barriers including mental health challenges and limited childcare. Her determination to build a new path for herself and her daughter was clear.

Working alongside Brianna, we focused on practical steps to prepare her for employment. We updated her résumé, practised interview skills, and explored flexible administration roles that would suit her needs as her daughter started school. Our goal was to support her in building skills, confidence, and pathways to meaningful work.

Brianna successfully secured an Administration Assistant role at Warrnambool Neighbourhood House & Community Centre. She quickly connected with the organisation’s mission and found the workplace to be incredibly supportive and family-friendly. Brianna rapidly became a valued team member, taking on program support tasks and contributing to community engagement. As her daughter settled into school, Brianna increased her hours to more than 15 per week, continuing to build strong workplace skills.

Through her employment, Brianna has reported improved confidence, wellbeing, and a renewed sense of purpose. She is now exploring further study in Community Services & Individual Support, aligning with her long-term career goals. Together, we create opportunity, and we are incredibly proud to see Brianna thrive in her new role and look forward to her continued success.
