Allan and Cindy find meaningful work with Triple A Trees in Kerang

Allan and Cindy joined are-able Kerang, each bringing unique experiences and challenges to their employment journey. Allan, with a long history in farm work and labouring, had recently lost his job and was actively seeking new opportunities. Cindy, who previously worked in truck driving and self-employment, faced barriers due to her mental health, which had prevented her from continuing in her previous roles. At the time of her transfer to are-able, Cindy was volunteering at Kerang Neighbourhood House, demonstrating her commitment to staying engaged in her community.

Our employment partner, Ellen, worked closely with both Allan and Cindy to address their individual needs. For Allan, Ellen followed up on a promising employment lead with Justin from Triple A Trees and helped him source appropriate workwear. For Cindy, Ellen provided comprehensive support, including interview preparation, direct marketing within the Kerang township, and updating her resume. Once employment was secured, Ellen also assisted Cindy with obtaining essential workwear, including branded high-visibility shirts, ensuring she was well-equipped for her new role.

Today, both Allan and Cindy are valued members of the team at Triple A Trees, working alongside Justin, a qualified arborist, to assist with clearing and trimming. This partnership highlights how we work alongside employers to build inclusive workplaces. Cindy has expressed how much she is enjoying the work and the feeling of stability it brings to her life. We maintain regular contact with Justin to ensure a successful and happy working relationship, now managed by our Work Support Hayley. Together, we create opportunity, helping people build skills, confidence, and pathways to meaningful work.

We are proud to support people like Allan and Cindy in their employment journeys, making a real impact in our local community.
