A Class to Remember: Horsham Graduates Shine in Early Childhood Education
Ten determined students from Horsham have achieved a major milestone graduating with their Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care through are-able Education and Training.
Many of the graduates, including Hayley Bird, Sapphira Williams, Rebekah Ellis, Ada Comargo Sandoval, and Emily Parkinson, began their journey with are-able by completing the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care before continuing on to the Diploma. Their trainer, Cindy Hammond, and Jackie are-able Training Services Coordinator, recently joined five of the graduates for a special dinner to celebrate their achievements.
Each of these women has faced their own challenges along the way from family loss and health issues to a serious car accident yet their perseverance and commitment never wavered. Today, every one of them has secured permanent employment across early childhood services in the Wimmera region, with some already stepping into lead educator roles.
“Soo I did a thing… I completed my Diploma! I cannot describe the feeling. WE DID IT!!To any teacher out there, it matters your approach, adaptability, and connection to students’ individual learning styles when it comes to student outcomes. Cindy did all that! Thank you for getting me across the finish line, for your endless patience, time, commitment, and belief, you rock!”Hayley Bird, Graduate
Trainer Cindy Hammond couldn’t be prouder of the group’s success. “This cohort has shown incredible strength and heart. Watching them grow from Certificate III students to qualified educators and now seeing them make a difference in children’s lives has been so rewarding.”
These graduates represent the very best of what are-able Education and Training strives for: empowerment through learning, personal growth, and meaningful, lasting employment.
